About Me

The story behind Unique Blends

Unique Blends began upon my journey with my son Nathaniel who has additional needs and an autism diagnosis. I’ve always wanted to find ways to help and support him naturally and if I believed what both medical and educational professionals told me, the progress seen wouldn’t have been witnessed.

He would have remained:

-non/pre-verbal

-unable to read

-unable to write

-unable to focus for more than 5 minutes

-unable to understand instructions

-dependent on others to complete basic life skills

-constantly dysregulated and anxious

The list goes on (as you know!) but identifying non-invasive, holistic ways to help Nathaniel that went beyond SLT, OT sessions led me to various services, products, plans and tweaks in the house that has contributed to what feels like daily wins that most take for granted like:

-talking

-conversations

-independence

-writing

-reading

-the ability to accept constructive criticism that previously caused him to become unsettled

One of approaches I incorporated was the creation of an essential oil blend which I tailored to him based on the challenges he faced and where I could help at the time.

I began making blends for myself as this journey not only affects the child but it also affects parents, carers and the family. The blends have contributed to the progress I’ve seen and I want to help other children and adults

I’ll provide you with a consultation where you can explain your child’s needs and where you want to help. I also know how important it is to take care of yourself so telling me your needs will also allow me to help you too. 

I will handcraft a blend specifically for both you and your child, and there will be no other blend in existence-this is what makes the blend truly unique.
